Xhensila Meta (Albanian: [dʒɛnˈsila meta]; born on April 9, 1993) is a famous Albanian singer and businesswoman. She is known for her pop music and powerful singing voice.

Life and Music Career

Xhensila Myrtezaj was born in Tirana, Albania. Her parents divorced when she was young. She went to the Jordan Misja Lyceum, a special art school in Tirana.

Early Start in Music

Xhensila became known when she was just 14 years old. She took part in a TV talent show called "Ethet e së premtes mbrëma." She also joined another music competition called Top Fest with her song "A më do ?" In 2009, she returned to Top Fest 6 with the song "Ekzistoj," but she didn't make it to the final round that time.

Rising to Fame

In 2010, Xhensila sang "A më do?" again at Top Fest 7. The next year, in 2011, she took part in Top Fest 8 with her song "Engjëlli." She won the award for Best Pop / R&B Song!

Later in 2011, Xhensila tried out for the Eurovision Song Contest 2012. This is a big international music competition. She sang "Lulet mbledh për hënën" in the Albanian try-outs, called Festivali i Këngës. She made it to the final and finished 13th overall.

Popular Songs and Collaborations

Xhensila has released many popular songs. In November 2016, she released "Uh Baby" with the singer Kida. In June 2018, she sang "Çika Çika" with Ardian Bujupi. This song became a huge hit! It reached over 100 million views on YouTube. They worked together again in July 2020 on the song "Panorama," which also has more than 60 million views.

Personal Life

Xhensila Myrtezaj was married to Besart Kallaku. He is a well-known Albanian actor, comedian, and singer. On July 12, 2018, Xhensila and Bes welcomed their daughter, Ajka. In March 2024, the couple shared online that they had divorced.
