Xperi Inc. is an American technology company. It is based in San Jose, California. Xperi creates software for many devices we use every day. This includes electronics like TVs and also cars. They also make systems for watching videos online.
The company has four main parts. These are Pay-TV, Consumer Electronics, Connected Car, and Media Platform. Xperi owns well-known brands like DTS, HD Radio, and TiVo. Xperi Inc. used to be part of a bigger company called Xperi Holding Corporation.

History of Xperi
Xperi Holding Corporation started as a company called Tessera, Inc. It was founded in 1990. Later, in 2003, it became Tessera Technologies, Inc. This company created special ways to package computer chips. They allowed other companies to use these inventions.
In 2008, Tessera bought FotoNation. This company was good at making pictures look better. In 2016, Tessera bought DTS, Inc.. DTS is a company known for its audio (sound) technologies. Before that, DTS had bought iBiquity Digital Corporation in 2015. iBiquity created the HD Radio standard for digital radio in North America.
After buying DTS in December 2016, Tessera Technologies, Inc. changed its name. It became Tessera Holding Corporation. A few months later, in February 2017, it started using the name Xperi Corporation.
In December 2019, Xperi Corporation and TiVo Corporation decided to join together. This merger was completed in June 2020. The new combined company was called Xperi Holding Corporation. It became one of the biggest companies that lets others use its inventions and products.
On October 1, 2022, Xperi Holding Corporation split into two separate companies. The part that made products became Xperi Inc. It started trading on the New York Stock Exchange. The other part, which focused on letting others use its inventions, changed its name to Adeia Inc. It started trading on the Nasdaq Stock Market.
