How Xyriel Became Famous (2009–2013)
Xyriel started her acting journey in 2009. She joined a talent competition called Star Circle Quest: Search for the Next Kiddie Idol and finished as the third runner-up. After playing small roles in a few shows, her big break came in 2010. She was chosen to play the young Agua and Bendita in the TV series Agua Bendita. This show was very popular, and people loved her so much that her role was extended for several weeks.
In May 2010, Xyriel starred in the main role of the TV series Momay. This show was also a big hit. Later that year, she appeared in the fantasy drama Noah. In December 2010, she acted in the comedy-drama film Ang Tanging Ina Mo (Last na 'To!). This movie was very successful and helped Xyriel win two acting awards: Best Child Actress at the FAMAS Awards and Best Child Performer at the Metro Manila Film Festival.
In May 2011, Xyriel starred with Coney Reyes in the Christian drama series 100 Days to Heaven. Xyriel Manabat returned to acting in January 2023 with the drama series Dirty Linen. She also attended important events like the Star Magical Prom and the ABS-CBN Ball. Later that year, she appeared in the coming-of-age drama Senior High. Magazines like Candy and Nylon Manila recognized her as one of the most stylish and a breakthrough actress of her generation.
In 2024, Xyriel continued her role in the TV sequel High Street. She also appeared at the Star Magical Prom again, where she was listed among the best-dressed celebrities.
Xyriel was cast as Thea, a close friend in the sports drama Sunshine. This film was shown at the Toronto International Film Festival and was released in the Philippines in July 2025. In 2024, she also joined the cast of Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition. After leaving the show, she starred in an episode of the drama Wish Ko Lang!.
