Xyriel Anne Bustamante Manabat (born January 27, 2004) is a talented Filipino actress. She started her acting journey as a child star after placing third in the TV show Star Circle Kid Quest: Search for the Kiddie Idol. Xyriel became very famous for playing young characters in popular series like Agua Bendita and 100 Days to Heaven. She has won many awards, including two FAMAS Awards and a Metro Manila Film Festival Award.

Xyriel Manabat's Early Life
Xyriel Anne Bustamante Manabat was born on January 27, 2004, in Taytay, Rizal, Philippines. Her parents are Daryl Jake Manabat and Elizabeth Dianne M. Manabat. She grew up with her younger brother, Xandrei Ezekiel. Xyriel is a member of Iglesia ni Cristo.
After taking a break from acting for almost six years, Xyriel focused on her personal life and school. In June 2020, she proudly graduated from high school at Golden Faith Academy with honors.
Xyriel's Acting Career Journey
Starting Out and Becoming Famous (2009–2013)
Xyriel began acting in 2009. She joined Star Circle Quest: Search for the Next Kiddie Idol and finished as the third runner-up. After acting in a few small roles, she got her big break in 2010. She played the young Agua and Bendita in the hit TV series Agua Bendita. This show was incredibly popular from its very first episode. Xyriel was only supposed to play the characters for a week, but viewers loved her so much that her role was extended for two more weeks!
In February 2010, she appeared briefly in the romantic show Rubi. In May 2010, Xyriel starred as the main character in Momay. This series was also a big success, getting high TV ratings. Later in 2010, she had a supporting role in the fantasy drama Noah, which also started with many viewers.
In December 2010, Xyriel was in the comedy-drama movie Ang Tanging Ina Mo (Last na 'To!). This movie was a huge hit at the box office. Xyriel won two awards for her role: Best Child Actress at the 59th FAMAS Awards and Best Child Performer at the 36th Metro Manila Film Festival.
In April 2011, Xyriel played a supporting role in the film Pak! Pak! My Dr. Kwak!. In May 2011, she starred with Coney Reyes in the Christian drama series 100 Days to Heaven. In December 2011, Xyriel returned as Monay Montecillio in the movie Enteng ng Ina Mo. This film was a box-office success and was the highest-earning movie at the 37th Metro Manila Film Festival. In January 2012, Xyriel starred with Pokwang in the independent film A Mother's Story. Critics praised her acting, and she won her second FAMAS Award for Best Child Actress.
In July 2012, Xyriel starred in an episode of the fantasy show Wansapanataym called "Pinay Big Sister." This episode was one of the most-watched TV programs that weekend. In August 2012, her first horror film, Amorosa, was released. Even though it was shown in fewer cinemas, it earned a lot of money and was praised by critics. More Roles and a Break (2014–2022)
In January 2014, Xyriel made a special appearance in the drama series The Legal Wife. In March 2014, she played a young version of a character in the period drama Ikaw Lamang. In December 2014, she starred in an episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya. Her acting in this episode was highly praised, and she won an award for Best Single Performance by an Actress.
In 2015, she was in the action-drama film Pangil sa Tubig. Xyriel also appeared in several other episodes of the drama anthology Maalaala Mo Kaya. After a short appearance in the series Wildflower, Xyriel took a break from acting. She wanted to focus on her personal life and her studies. In May 2020, she graduated from high school. Return to Showbiz (2023–Present)
In January 2023, Xyriel made her big return to acting in the drama Dirty Linen as Antonette Pavia. Her performance received a lot of praise from both critics and viewers. The show was also very popular online. In March 2023, she was invited to the first-ever Star Magic Prom.
In August 2023, Xyriel was cast as one of the main characters, Roxy Cristobal, in the mystery series Senior High. She attended the ABS-CBN Ball in September 2023 and the Star Magical Christmas Ball in November 2023. Candy Magazine even listed her as one of the "Most Stylish Gen Z Celebs." Rafael Bautista of Nylon Manila named Xyriel among the "9 Local artists who had a well-deserved breakthrough in 2023," praising her acting in her comeback projects.
In March 2024, Xyriel attended the Star Magical Prom again, this time with co-actor Zaijian Jaranilla. Both Cosmopolitan and Nylon Manila named her among the best-dressed people at the event. Because Senior High was so successful, Xyriel will play her role again in the sequel, High Street.
Other Activities and Interests
Xyriel has also been involved in many charity events. In 2011, the TV show 100 Days to Heaven had a special charity project called "100 Toys to Heaven," where they gave gifts to children. In November 2012, she also helped with an event called The Grand International Importers and Exporters Christmas Bazaar, which aimed to help children who are not as lucky.
In June 2010, Xyriel performed at a concert party for former Philippine President Benigno Aquino III. In 2011, Xyriel recorded her first song, "Kuha Mo?", which was used as a theme song for the Christian drama 100 Days to Heaven.
Xyriel has also appeared in many TV commercials. She has endorsed popular brands like Jollibee, Converse, Nestlé Bear Brand, Argentina Hotdog, Tang, Moose Gear, and Robinson Supermarket.
