Jollibee is the biggest fast-food chain in the Philippines. It has more than 1,400 restaurants there. Jollibee is very popular in the Philippines. It serves more customers than all other big international fast-food brands combined.
Jollibee is also growing around the world. It has over 270 restaurants in many countries. These include the United States, Canada, Hong Kong, and the United Kingdom. You can also find Jollibee in Macau, Brunei, Vietnam, Singapore, and Malaysia. Other locations are Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Italy.
History of Jollibee
Jollibee started in Manila, Philippines, in the late 1970s. By the mid-1980s, it was already very popular there. The first Jollibee outside the Philippines opened in Taiwan in 1986. Its first restaurant in the U.S. opened in Daly City, California, in 1988.
Today, there are over 1,300 Jollibee locations worldwide. Many of these are in places where many Filipinos live. Jollibee was started by Tony Tan Caktiong. He was the son of immigrants from China. He grew up to become a very successful businessman. Jollibee is now a famous fast-food brand around the world. It is a great success story from the Philippines.
