Early Life and Acting Career

Yany Prado was born in Havana, Cuba, on January 2, 1991. When she was eleven years old, her family moved to Mexico. There, she studied acting at Televisa's Centro de Educación Artística, which is a special school for performers.

Her first role on television was in 2010. She appeared in the Mexican series La rosa de Guadalupe, playing Carolina and other characters over the next few years.

Rising to Fame

In 2017, Yany returned to television in La doble vida de Estela Carrillo. She played the character Génesis, which was a very important role. Her performance earned her a nomination for the TVyNovelas Award for Best Young Lead Actress at the 36th TVyNovelas Awards. This award recognizes the best young actresses in Mexican television.

In 2018, she played a character named La Negra in the Mexican TV series Tres Milagros. The next year, 2019, was also busy for Yany. She played La Luchis in Ringo and Irma in La reina soy yo.

Later in 2019, Yany was chosen for a big role as Gina in the Netflix Spanish series Sky Rojo. This show became very popular around the world.
