About Yasmeen Sulieman

Yasmeen Sulieman was born in Oakland, California. She lived there until she was seven years old. Then, her family moved to Oahu, Hawaii. Her brother, Sterling Sulieman, is also an actor.

Yasmeen joined several local choirs. By age 11, she was performing in community and musical theater. In high school, she won a statewide talent contest called "Brown Bags." She sang "Love Is on the Way" by Celine Dion. This led to her first song being released in 1999.

Her Music Journey

Her first album, When Will It Be Me, was released in Japan in September 2002. However, it was not released in the United States. This was because of some problems with her music company.
