Yassir Lester (born June 22, 1984) is an American comedian, writer, and actor. He is known for his funny stand-up comedy shows. He has also written for popular TV series like The Carmichael Show and Girls. Many people know him for his acting roles as Chris in Making History and as Yassir in the TV show Black Monday.

About Yassir Lester's Life
Growing Up
Yassir Lester was born in Miami, Florida. When he was a child, his family moved to Marietta, Georgia. His mother is African-American, and his father is Palestinian. From a young age, Yassir dreamed of becoming a stand-up comedian.
When he was 21, he moved to Los Angeles to start his comedy career. Soon after arriving, he met Jerrod Carmichael. They became close friends and still are today.
His Career in Comedy and Acting
Yassir Lester has worked on many exciting projects. In 2016, he was a writer for two TV shows at the same time. These were The Carmichael Show and Girls.
He then took a break from writing to act in Making History. This show was on Fox for one season. Yassir has said he never planned to be an actor. He moved to Hollywood to work behind the scenes in TV and do stand-up comedy. His friend Adam Pally encouraged him to try out for the role.
In 2018, he was part of the cast for the TV series Champions. This show ran for one season. From 2019 to 2021, Yassir played a character named Yassir X. This was in the Showtime series Black Monday. In this show, he played a Wall Street trader.
In August 2021, Yassir Lester joined the team for a superhero movie. He is a screenwriter and executive producer for Armor Wars. This film is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Yassir also continues to perform stand-up comedy regularly.
