Yasuharu Sorimachi (反町 康治, Sorimachi Yasuharu, born March 8, 1964) is a famous Japanese former football player and manager. He played as a Midfielder and also coached the Japan national team.

Playing Career Highlights
Yasuharu Sorimachi started his football journey early. He played for Shimizu Higashi High School and Keio University. At high school, he even won a national championship with his team!
Club Successes
Sorimachi began his professional career in 1987 with All Nippon Airways. He helped his team move up to the top league in 1988. When Japan's first professional league, the J1 League, began in 1992, his team became Yokohama Flügels. With Flügels, he won the important Emperor's Cup in 1993.
In 1994, he joined Bellmare Hiratsuka. There, he continued his winning streak. He helped the club win the Emperor's Cup again in 1994. The team also won the Asian Cup Winners' Cup in 1995, which is a big international club competition in Asia. Overall, he played in 213 club games and scored 34 goals.
Playing for Japan
Sorimachi also represented his country. He played 4 times for the Japan national team between 1990 and 1991. His first game for Japan was against South Korea in July 1990. He also played in the 1990 Asian Games.
Coaching and Managing Teams
After he stopped playing, Sorimachi became a football manager. He started coaching in 2001 with J2 League club Albirex Niigata.
Leading Teams to Victory
In 2003, he led Albirex Niigata to win the league championship. This win helped the team get promoted to the J1 League, which is Japan's top football league. He stayed with them until 2005.
In 2006, he became the manager for the Japan U-23 national team. He also worked as an assistant coach for the main Japan football team. He successfully led the U-23 team to qualify for the 2008 Summer Olympics.
After that, he managed his old club, Shonan Bellmare, from 2009 to 2011. In 2012, he moved to Matsumoto Yamaga FC. He coached Matsumoto Yamaga FC for many years, until 2019. Since 2020, he has been working as a technical director for the Japan national team.
