Yasushi Yoshida (吉田 靖, Yoshida Yasushi, born August 9, 1960) is a famous Japanese football player and coach. He was born in Nerima, Tokyo, Japan. Yoshida played as a forward, which means he was one of the players who tried to score goals for his team. After he stopped playing, he became a coach for many different teams, including Japan's national youth teams.

Playing Football
Yasushi Yoshida started his football journey in Tokyo. After finishing university at Waseda University, he joined a team called Mitsubishi Motors in 1983. This team is now known as Urawa Reds. He played for them for nine years, until 1992. During his time as a player, he played in 175 games and scored 35 goals.
Becoming a Coach
After he stopped playing football, Yoshida began his coaching career. He started at Urawa Reds in 1992. For many years, he worked as an assistant coach, helping the main coach. In 1999, he even got to be the main coach for a short time during the 1999 Emperor's Cup.
In 2001, Yoshida became an assistant coach for the Japan U-20 national team. This team is for players under 20 years old. He helped them prepare for big tournaments like the 2003 and 2005 World Youth Championship.
Coaching the Japan U-20 Team
In 2005, Yasushi Yoshida became the main coach for the Japan U-20 team. He led them in the 2007 U-20 World Cup. He coached the Japan U-20 team again in 2011.
Coaching Other Teams
In 2013, Yoshida became the coach for Roasso Kumamoto, a professional football club, but he left in July of that year. Later in 2013, he became the coach for the Urawa Reds Ladies, a women's football team. He stayed with them until the end of the 2016 season.
In December 2021, Yoshida moved to Thailand. He became the head coach for Samut Prakan City, a team in the Thai League 1.
