Yasushi Yoshida (吉田 靖, Yoshida Yasushi, born August 9, 1960) is a well-known Japanese football player and manager. He was born in Nerima, Tokyo, on August 9, 1960. Yoshida played as a forward during his playing career. After he stopped playing, he became a successful coach for various teams, including youth national teams.

Playing Football: Yasushi Yoshida's Career
Yasushi Yoshida started his football journey after finishing his studies at Waseda University. He joined a team called Mitsubishi Motors in 1983. This team is now known as Urawa Reds.
He played for Mitsubishi Motors for nine years, from 1983 to 1992. During his time there, he played in 175 games. He also scored 35 goals for the club. This shows he was a key player for his team.
Coaching Teams: Yasushi Yoshida's Managerial Path
After ending his playing career in 1992, Yasushi Yoshida began coaching. He started at his old club, Urawa Reds.
Early Coaching Roles
For many years, Yoshida worked as an assistant coach at Urawa Reds. He helped the main coach and the team until 2000. In December 1999, he even got the chance to manage the club for a short time during the 1999 Emperor's Cup.
Coaching Japan's Youth Teams
In 2001, Yoshida became an assistant coach for the Japan U-20 national team. This team is for players under 20 years old. He helped the team prepare for big tournaments. The Japan U-20 team took part in the 2003 and 2005 World Youth Championship.
In 2005, he became the main manager for the Japan U-20 team. He led them in the 2007 U-20 World Cup. He returned to manage the Japan U-20 team again in 2011.
Club Management and Later Years
In 2013, Yoshida signed with a club called Roasso Kumamoto. However, he left the team in July of that year. Later in September 2013, he became the manager for the Urawa Reds Ladies team. This is a women's football team. He coached them until the end of the 2016 season.
More recently, on December 11, 2021, Yasushi Yoshida was named the head coach of Samut Prakan City. This club plays in the Thai League 1 in Thailand. He coached them until 2022.
