Yiheng Wang (born December 16, 2013) is a super fast Chinese speedcuber. A speedcuber is someone who solves puzzles like the Rubik's Cube as quickly as possible. Yiheng is amazing at it! He holds the world record for solving the 3x3x3 Rubik's Cube, averaging just 4.05 seconds. He also has the third fastest single solve time, at 3.27 seconds.

Yiheng Wang's Cubing Journey
Yiheng started competing in World Cube Association (WCA) events when he was only five years old, in September 2019. He won his very first competition title in January 2021, when he was seven.
In August 2023, at nine years old, Yiheng almost won the 2023 World Championship! He finished in second place, just 0.01 seconds behind the famous speedcuber Max Park. Another great solver, Tymon Kolasiński, was right behind him.
Setting World Records
Yiheng set his first world record for the 3x3x3 average on March 10, 2023. He was nine years old. This happened at a competition in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. His record-breaking time was 4.69 seconds. Before him, the record was 4.86 seconds, held by Max Park and Tymon Kolasiński.
Since then, Yiheng has broken his own record six more times! He kept getting faster and faster. He lowered his average time to 4.48, then 4.36, 4.25, 4.09 seconds. He even tied his own 4.09 record once. His latest amazing record is 4.05 seconds!
Top Solver in the World
By December 2024, Yiheng Wang showed how dominant he was. He held the 29 fastest average solve times ever recorded for the 3x3x3 cube. These times ranged from 4.73 seconds down to his incredible 4.05 seconds.
Right now, Yiheng holds 68 of the 100 fastest 3x3x3 average times in history. He also has the third fastest single solve time for the 3x3x3 cube, which is 3.27 seconds.
Two-by-Two Cube Skills
Yiheng is not just great at the 3x3x3 cube. He is also very skilled at the 2x2x2 cube event. He currently holds the world record average for the 2x2x2 cube, with an amazing time of just 0.88 seconds!
