Yogesh Gaur, often called Yogesh, was a famous Indian writer and lyricist. He was born on March 19, 1943, and passed away on May 29, 2020. Yogesh was well-known for his amazing work in Bollywood movies.

Some of his most famous songs came from the film Anand (1971). These include Kahin Door Jab Din Dal Jaaye and Zindagi Kaisi Hai Paheli. He also wrote Rajnigandha phool tumhare for the movie Rajnigandha (1974).

Early Life and Career

Yogesh was born in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. When he was 16, he moved to Bombay (now Mumbai) to find work. He got help from his cousin, Yogendra Gaur, who was a screenplay writer.

Yogesh got his first big chance in 1962. He wrote six songs for the Bollywood movie Sakhi Robin. One of these songs, "Tum jo aa jao," was sung by the famous Manna Dey. This song helped start his successful career in Bollywood.
