Yoshiharu Ueno (上野 良治, Ueno Yoshiharu, born April 21, 1973) is a former professional football player from Japan. He was a talented Midfielder who played for the Japanese national team.

Early Career and Yokohama F. Marinos
Yoshiharu Ueno was born in Saitama, Japan, on April 21, 1973. He started his professional football journey in 1994. He joined a team called Yokohama Marinos, which later became Yokohama F. Marinos.
When he first started, Ueno played as an attacking midfielder. This meant his main job was to help score goals.
Becoming a Key Player
In 1997, Ueno changed his playing style. He became a defensive midfielder. This role is very important because it helps protect the team's goal. He became a regular player for Yokohama F. Marinos.
His team had great success during his time there. They won the J.League Cup in 2001. They also won the J1 League championship two times in a row, in 2003 and 2004. Ueno played a big part in these victories. He retired from playing football at the end of the 2007 season.
