Yoshika Matsubara (松原 良香, Matsubara Yoshika, born 19 August 1974) is a Japanese football manager and former player. He is currently the manager of J3 League club Iwate Grulla Morioka.

Yoshika Matsubara's Football Journey
Yoshika Matsubara was born in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, on August 19, 1974. He grew up loving football and became a professional player. He played as a forward, which means he was responsible for scoring goals.
Playing for Clubs Around the World
After finishing high school, Yoshika Matsubara started his professional career in 1993. He played for Peñarol in Uruguay, a country famous for its football.
When he returned to Japan in 1994, he joined J1 League team Júbilo Iwata. He played there for several years. During his career, he also played for other Japanese teams like Shimizu S-Pulse and JEF United Ichihara.
Yoshika Matsubara also played in Europe. He joined Rijeka in Croatia and Delémont in Switzerland. Later, he came back to Japan to play for teams like Shonan Bellmare and Avispa Fukuoka. He also had another period playing in Uruguay for clubs like Progreso and Defensor Sporting.
Representing Japan: The Miracle of Miami
One of the most exciting parts of Yoshika Matsubara's playing career was representing his country. He played for the Japan U23 national team.
In 1996, he was part of the Japanese team that went to the Summer Olympics. At this event, Japan played against a very strong Brazil team. Brazil had famous players like Rivaldo, Roberto Carlos, and Bebeto. Japan won this match 1-0, which was a huge surprise! This famous victory is often called the "Miracle of Miami."

He started his managing career in 2005 with Shizuoka FC. Later, in 2015, he managed SC Sagamihara. As of 2023, he is the manager of Iwate Grulla Morioka, a club in the J3 League. He continues to share his knowledge and passion for football with new generations of players.
