Young is a city located in the middle of the Río Negro Department in Uruguay. It's a lively place with a growing population. People who live here are called "younguense."

About Young City
Where is Young?
Young is found on Route 3, an important road in Uruguay. It's about 120 kilometers (75 miles) northwest of Trinidad. Trinidad is another city and the capital of the Flores Department.
Young's History
Young started as a small group of houses near a train station. On August 17, 1920, this area was officially named a "Pueblo," which means village. Later, on August 14, 1958, it became a "Villa," which is a larger town. Finally, on October 15, 1963, Young was given the title of "Ciudad," meaning it became a city.
