Tyree Lamar Pittman (born November 14, 1993), known by his stage name Young Chop, is an American music producer, rapper, and songwriter. He is famous for making a type of hip hop music called drill. Young Chop also produced many early hit songs for the artist Chief Keef, including "I Don't Like", "Love Sosa", and "3Hunna".
Early Life and Music Career
Tyree Pittman grew up in the South Side area of Chicago, Illinois. He started making music beats when he was 11 years old. His cousin helped him learn, even though Tyree first wanted to be a rapper.
Young Chop met the rapper Chief Keef online through Facebook. After that, he produced many of Chief Keef's songs. The mixtape Back From The Dead by Chief Keef was the first full music project Young Chop produced.
Young Chop's Businesses
Young Chop also started his own independent music company called Chop Squad. An independent label means he runs his own business to release music.
He also created a website called SoundKitWiz.com. This website sells tools and sounds that other people can use to make their own music. A fun fact about his music is his "producer tag." This is a short sound clip that plays at the start of songs he produces. His tag is "Young Chop On the Beat," and it's spoken by his nephew, who was 4 years old at the time.
