Yuki Takita (田北 雄気, Takita Yūki, born May 16, 1967) is a former Japanese association football player. He played as a goalkeeper for several clubs in Japan, including Urawa Red Diamonds.

Early Life and Club Career
Yuki Takita was born in Saitama, Japan, on May 16, 1967. He loved football from a young age. After finishing his studies at Tokai University, he started his professional football journey in 1990.
Joining NTT Kanto
In 1990, Takita joined his local team, NTT Kanto. He quickly became an important player for the team, playing in many matches as their goalkeeper right from his first season. He showed great skill in protecting the goal.
Time with Urawa Red Diamonds
In 1992, Yuki Takita moved to Urawa Red Diamonds, a well-known club. Here, he faced strong competition for the goalkeeper spot with another talented player, Hisashi Tsuchida. For a few years, it was tough for Takita to get much playing time.
A Standout Season
Things changed for Takita in 1996. The other main goalkeeper, Tsuchida, got injured. This gave Takita the chance to play in every single match that season. He really shined and showed everyone what he could do.
Making History: A Goalkeeper's Goal
On November 9, 1996, Yuki Takita did something amazing and very rare for a goalkeeper. He scored a goal against Yokohama Flügels from a penalty shot! This made him the first goalkeeper in the J1 League to ever score a goal in a league match. It was a memorable moment in his career.
Becoming a Regular Player
