Yukio Tsuchiya (土屋 征夫, Tsuchiya Yukio, born July 31, 1974) is a Japanese footballer. He plays as a defender for Tokyo 23 FC.

Yukio Tsuchiya's Football Journey
Yukio Tsuchiya was born in Bunkyo, Tokyo, Japan, on July 31, 1974. After finishing high school, he moved to Brazil in 1994. There, he started his football career. He played for several Brazilian clubs. These included Noroeste, Internacional Bebedouro, and Barretos.
Playing in Japan
In 1997, Yukio Tsuchiya came back to Japan. He joined Verdy Kawasaki, a club in the top Japanese league, J1 League. He played his first game in August 1997. In 1998, he played many matches as a "side back." This position means he played on the sides of the field, helping both defense and attack.
In 1999, he moved to Vissel Kobe. Here, his position changed. He became a "center back." This is a key defensive role, playing in the middle of the defense. He was a regular player for Vissel Kobe for six seasons.
Moving to New Teams
In 2005, Yukio Tsuchiya joined Kashiwa Reysol. He continued to be a regular player. However, at the end of that year, the club moved down to a lower league, the J2 League.
The next year, in 2006, he moved to Omiya Ardija. He played many games as a left side back.
Return to Tokyo Verdy
In 2007, Yukio Tsuchiya returned to Tokyo Verdy. This was nine years after he first played for them. Even though the club mostly played in the J2 League during this time, he was a regular center back for six seasons.
Later Career
In 2013, he joined Ventforet Kofu, a J1 League club. He played many matches as a center back. However, he had an injury in 2014. After that, he played less often.
In August 2017, he moved to Kyoto Sanga FC, a J2 League club. He played a few matches there. In 2018, he moved to Tokyo 23 FC. This club plays in the Japanese Regional Leagues, which are below the J-League.
