Tory Lester Zellars (born on April 24, 1996), known as Yung Tory, is a Canadian rapper from Mississauga, Ontario. He started his music journey by signing with Lil Durk's Only the Family in 2017. The next year, he joined Timbaland's Mosley Music Group, which is part of Def Jam Recordings. Yung Tory released his first studio album, Rastar, in early 2019.

About Yung Tory's Early Life
Tory was born in Toronto, Canada. He spent much of his childhood living in both Atlanta and Toronto. He has Jamaican family roots. Yung Tory is known for mixing rap music with the Rastafarian way of life. Rastafarianism is a religion that began in Jamaica. It focuses on peace, love, and a natural lifestyle. He has been a vegan his whole life, meaning he does not eat any animal products.
How Yung Tory Started in Music
Yung Tory found his love for music when he was very young. He would rap over beats on his dad's Xbox game console. As he grew up, he was inspired by artists like Lil Wayne, Dipset, and 50 Cent. These artists helped shape his own rap style. He began rapping seriously in 2011.

In 2019, Yung Tory also released the single "Friends." For this song, he used a sample from the artist Anne Marie's Marshmello. His most popular song at the time was "Netflix & Chill," which featured Fenix Flexin from Shoreline Mafia. Later that year, in September 2019, he released his first EP (Extended Play) called Still Here. This EP was released through Timbaland's label, Mosley Music Group.
