The Yurok Indian Reservation is a special area of land in California. It is set aside for the Yurok people, a Native American tribe. This reservation is located along a 44-mile (71 km) stretch of the Klamath River. It covers parts of Del Norte and Humboldt counties. The Yurok Tribe is one of the few tribes in California who have always lived on their original lands. They were never forced to move away.
The reservation covers about 84.7 square miles (219.4 km²). A road called California Route 169 helps people get to the reservation from the south. The reservation shares a border with the Hoopa Indian Reservation to the south. It is also next to Redwood National Park on its western side. The smaller Resighini Rancheria is completely surrounded by the Yurok Reservation. In 2020, about 1,236 people lived on the reservation. Many of them live in the community of Klamath, which is at the northern end of the reservation.

Climate and Weather
The Yurok Reservation has a mild climate. Summers are warm, and winters are cool and rainy. The area gets a lot of rain, especially from November to March. This helps the redwood forests grow tall and strong.

- Winter (December-February): High temperatures are usually in the 40s and 50s Fahrenheit (4-10°C). It is very wet during these months.
