Yuri Petrovich Artyukhin (Russian: Ю́рий Петро́вич Артю́хин; June 22, 1930 – August 4, 1998) was a Soviet Russian cosmonaut. He was also a skilled engineer. Yuri Artyukhin made one trip into space during his career.
He studied engineering at the Soviet Air Force Institute. He earned a special degree focused on military communication systems. In 1963, Yuri Artyukhin was chosen to join the Soviet space program. He was supposed to fly on a mission called Voskhod 3. However, that mission was later canceled.
His only space flight happened in 1974. He flew aboard the Soyuz 14 spacecraft. His engineering skills were very useful during this mission.
