Yusuke Omi (近江 友介, Omi Yusuke, born December 26, 1946) is a former Japanese soccer player. He played as a forward, which means he was one of the players who tried to score goals. Omi also played for the Japan national team.

Playing for Clubs

Yusuke Omi was born in Tokyo, Japan, on December 26, 1946. After finishing his studies at Hosei University, he joined a soccer club called Hitachi in 1970.

Club Successes

Omi had a very successful time with Hitachi. In 1972, his team won two big championships: the Japan Soccer League and the Emperor's Cup. The Emperor's Cup is a famous knockout competition in Japan.

The next year, in 1973, Hitachi continued to play well. They finished in second place in both the Japan Soccer League and the Emperor's Cup.

Retirement from Club Play

Yusuke Omi played for Hitachi for five years. He retired from playing club soccer in 1974. During his time in the league, he played in 49 games and scored 8 goals.
