Yuta Baba (馬場 憂太, Baba Yūta, born January 22, 1984) is a former Japanese football player. He was a midfielder. Yuta was born in Itabashi, Tokyo, Japan. His younger brother, Tōru, is an actor.

Playing Football

Yuta Baba started his football journey in Itabashi, Tokyo. He was born there on January 22, 1984. He joined the youth team of FC Tokyo in 1999.

Time at FC Tokyo

In 2002, Yuta joined the main team of FC Tokyo. This club plays in the J1 League, Japan's top football league. He quickly got a chance to play in his first year. By 2003, he was playing many games. He was an offensive midfielder, which means he helped attack and score goals.

In 2004, something special happened. FC Tokyo won the 2004 J.League Cup. This was the very first major trophy for the club! Yuta was part of this winning team. He played for FC Tokyo until 2007.

Moving to New Clubs

In 2008, Yuta moved to another J1 League club, JEF United Chiba. He played in several matches as a substitute. Later that year, in August 2008, he moved to Montedio Yamagata. This club was in the J2 League, which is the second division.

At Montedio Yamagata, Yuta became a regular player. He played many games and helped the team a lot. Montedio Yamagata finished second in the 2008 season. This amazing result meant the club was promoted to the J1 League for the first time ever! Yuta left the club at the end of that successful season.

In August 2009, Yuta joined another J2 League club, Tokyo Verdy. He did not play many games there. He left Tokyo Verdy at the end of 2009.

Playing in South Korea

After some time without playing, Yuta moved to South Korea. In 2011, he joined Daejeon Citizen. He played for this team for three years. He retired from playing football at the end of the 2013 season.
