Yuvraj Walmiki, born on November 29, 1989, is a famous Indian field hockey player from Maharashtra. He was part of the Indian team that won the Asian Champions Trophy in 2011. Yuvraj also played in the 2014 World Cup in the Netherlands. He is the only Indian player to have played in the German Hockey League for eight years in a row!
Beyond hockey, Yuvraj was the first hockey player to be on the TV show "Khatron Ke Khiladi" (Fear Factor) season 7. He also received the Shiv Chhatrapati Award, which is Maharashtra's highest state award for sports. Yuvraj Walmiki has even started acting, appearing in the ALTBalaji show "Class of 2020".

Yuvraj Walmiki has had an exciting career filled with many achievements for India and his clubs.
Playing for India
- In 2014, Yuvraj played for India in the Rabobank Hockey World Cup in The Hague, Netherlands.
- He also played in a special "Pre-World Cup" event in The Hague.
- In 2013, he helped India win a Gold Medal in a test series against the Netherlands in Amsterdam.
- Yuvraj was part of the team that reached the semi-finals of the Champions Trophy in Melbourne, Australia, in 2012. This was a big achievement, as it was the first time in 30 years!
- He won a Bronze Medal at the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup in Malaysia in 2012.
- In 2012, he earned a Gold Medal at the Olympic Qualifiers held in Delhi.
- He also won a Gold Medal in the South Africa test series in Delhi in 2012.
- In 2011, Yuvraj won a Silver Medal in a Tri-Series tournament in Australia, playing against Australia and Pakistan.

- He is a Brand Ambassador for Do Good Sports, an organization that helps sports in Mumbai.

Playing in the Hockey India League
The Hockey India League is a professional field hockey league in India. When the league first started, teams bid for players in an auction. Yuvraj Walmiki was bought by the Delhi team, which was named Delhi Waveriders. His starting price was US$9,250, and he was bought for US$18,500.
Later, for the 2016/17 season, the Delhi Waveriders decided to keep Yuvraj Walmiki on their team. They paid US$40,000 to keep him, showing how valuable he is to the team!
