Yuzuru Nozu's Life and Contributions

Yuzuru Nozu was born in Hiroshima, Japan, in 1899. He lived a long life, passing away in Tokyo in 1983. Throughout his life, he made a big difference in two main areas: sports and medicine.

His Football Journey

After his playing career, Nozu continued to be involved in football. In 1955, he became the president of the Japan Football Association (JFA). This organization helps manage and promote football in Japan. He worked hard to make the JFA an official, recognized foundation in 1974.

In 1938, he became a government leader as the Minister for Physical Education at the Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare. He held this important position until 1941.

After World War II, in 1947, he opened his own medical facility called the Nozu Clinic. He was the director of this clinic until March 1982, just a year before he passed away.
