Zeta Celestino Oliveros Gorres (born April 18, 1982) is a former professional boxer from the Philippines. He was known as "The Dream" in the boxing world. He once fought for a major world title, the WBO super-flyweight championship.

Z Gorres' full name is Zeta Celestino Oliveros Gorres. His first two names, Zeta and Celestino, come from his parents. He is married to Datchess Gorres and they have four children.
Z Gorres' Boxing Journey
Z Gorres started boxing when he was just 9 years old. He became a professional boxer on March 31, 2001. He won his first 13 fights in a row!
His first loss happened on June 1, 2003. He fought Edgar Rodrigo for the Philippine flyweight title. Rodrigo won the fight in the 9th round.
One of Z Gorres' big wins was against Glenn Donaire on March 19, 2005. Glenn is the brother of famous boxer Nonito Donaire. Z Gorres won this fight in the very first round. This was also his first fight in the United States.
About a year later, he won the OPBF super flyweight title. He beat Waenpetch Chuwatana to earn this championship.
On February 24, 2007, Z Gorres got a chance to fight for a world title. He challenged Fernando Montiel, who was the WBO super-flyweight champion. The fight was held in Z Gorres' hometown. Montiel won the fight by a close decision.
He also fought Vic Darchinyan on February 2, 2008. This fight was important because the winner would get to challenge for another world title. The fight ended in a draw, meaning neither boxer won.
Z Gorres later moved up to a heavier weight class called bantamweight. He won his first fight in this new division on March 14, 2009. He defeated Roberto Carlos Leyva in 7 rounds.
End of His Boxing Career
On November 13, 2009, Z Gorres had a fight against Luis Melendez. He won the fight, but after it ended, he collapsed. He needed surgery to help with swelling in his brain. This injury meant that Z Gorres could no longer continue his boxing career.
Returning Home
In February 2010, Z Gorres was well enough to fly back home to the Philippines. The President of the Philippines, Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, even greeted him at the airport. He continued his physical therapy in Cebu to help him get stronger. He worked on strengthening his muscles to help him move better. Z Gorres began to walk again and slowly regained some control of his left hand. He also had more surgeries to help with a throat issue.
