Zendon Alphonso Hamilton (born April 29, 1975) is an American basketball coach and former player. He played as a center or power forward. Zendon was part of the National Basketball Association (NBA) from 2000 to 2006.

Early Life and College Career

Zendon Hamilton grew up in South Floral Park, New York. He played high school basketball at Sewanhaka High School. He was very tall, standing at 6 feet 11 inches.

After high school, Zendon went to St. John's University. He played college basketball there from 1994 to 1998. He was a talented player, earning honors like being a McDonald's All-American.

Professional Basketball Journey

Zendon Hamilton started his professional career playing in Europe. He played for teams in Spain and Greece. In 1999, he joined the Dallas Mavericks for the NBA pre-season.

Playing in the NBA

Zendon officially began his NBA career in the 2000–01 NBA season. He played for the Los Angeles Clippers. Over the next few years, he played for several other NBA teams. These included the Denver Nuggets, Toronto Raptors, Philadelphia 76ers, Milwaukee Bucks, and Cleveland Cavaliers.

He was known for his strong play as a center or power forward. He played 134 games in the NBA. During his NBA career, he scored 585 points and grabbed 464 rebounds.

Playing Around the World

After his time in the NBA, Zendon continued his basketball journey. He played for teams in many different countries. He played in Poland, Russia, Ukraine, and Uruguay. This shows how basketball is a global sport.

Coaching Career

After retiring as a player, Zendon Hamilton became a basketball coach. He started as an assistant coach for the Idaho Stampede in 2013.

Later, he joined the Texas Legends as an assistant coach in 2016. From 2018 to 2020, he was an assistant coach for the Agua Caliente Clippers. Zendon uses his experience as a player to help new athletes.
