Zorba's Early Life

Zorba was born in 1981. His parents were named Stablemate's Bruno of Kisumu and Gildasan Valentine Daisy Of Aicama. A person named Mrs. I. Prosser bred him. Later, Zorba was owned by Chris Eraclides, who lived in London, England.

Setting World Records

Zorba was a truly massive dog. He first set a world record in September 1987. At that time, he weighed about 314 pounds (142 kilograms). This made him the heaviest dog in the world!

Two years later, in November 1989, Zorba grew even bigger. He was recorded weighing about 330 pounds (150 kilograms). That's like the weight of two adult humans!

Zorba was also very tall and long. He stood 37 inches (94 centimeters) high at his shoulder. From the tip of his nose to the tip of his tail, he measured an amazing 8 feet 3 inches (251 centimeters). This also made him the longest dog in the world.
