Zorhan Ludovic Bassong (born May 7, 1999) is a Canadian professional soccer player. He plays as a left-back for Sporting Kansas City in Major League Soccer. He also plays for the Canada national team.

Early Life and Soccer Start
Zorhan Bassong was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. His mother is from Belgium and his father is from Cameroon. When he was just three months old, his family moved to Montreal. This is where Zorhan started playing youth soccer at age five. He played for a team called CS Longueuil.
Club Journey: Playing Around the World
Zorhan Bassong has played for several soccer clubs in different countries.
Starting in Europe
He joined Cercle Brugge in Belgium in January 2019. Before that, he was with Lille in France. He left the Belgian club in July 2020.
Playing in Canada
On December 1, 2020, Bassong signed with CF Montréal, a Canadian team in Major League Soccer (MLS). He played for them for two years, starting in the 2021 season. After the 2022 season, he left the club.
Adventures in Romania
In January 2023, Zorhan moved to Romania. He signed with a club called Argeș Pitești. He played eight games for them. The team was moved down to a lower league at the end of that season.
In June 2023, he joined Farul Constanța. This team had just won Romania's top league. However, in September 2023, Bassong and Farul Constanța decided to end his contract early.
Back to MLS: Sporting Kansas City
In December 2023, Zorhan Bassong returned to the MLS. He signed with Sporting Kansas City for the 2024 season. He is still playing for them in 2025. As of July 12, 2025, he has played 35 games and scored 1 goal for the club.
Representing His Country: Canada
Zorhan Bassong has also played for the Canadian national team.
First Senior Team Appearance
He made his first game for Canada on January 10, 2020. It was a friendly match where Canada won 4–1 against Barbados.
Playing for the U23 Team
He was also chosen for the Canadian U23 team. This was for a special tournament to qualify for the Olympics. He was named to the final team for this tournament in March 2021. As of June 21, 2025, he has played 5 games for the senior national team.
