Zuehl (pronounced "zeel") is a small community in western Guadalupe County, Texas, United States. It is considered a census-designated place, which means it's a special area used for gathering population information. Zuehl is part of the larger San Antonio metropolitan area.
This community is located near Cibolo Creek, about 13 miles southwest of Seguin. In 2020, about 399 people lived in Zuehl.
Long ago, Zuehl was known as "Perryman's Crossing." It was an important spot on the Wood Road, an old path connecting Gonzales and San Antonio. The area got its current name in 1872 when Wilhem Zuehl bought land there and opened a store.

Where is Zuehl Located?
Zuehl is found on the western side of Guadalupe County. Its western border follows Cibolo Creek, which also marks the edge of Bexar County.
Nearby Cities and Roads
To the north of Zuehl is the city of Cibolo. To the east, you'll find New Berlin.
Interstate 10, a major highway, runs just north of Zuehl, within Cibolo. You can get onto I-10 from Exit 595. This highway leads east about 13 miles to Seguin, which is the main city in Guadalupe County. If you head west on I-10, you'll reach San Antonio about 21 miles away.
Size of the Area
According to the United States Census Bureau, the Zuehl area covers about 18.2 square kilometers (about 7 square miles). All of this area is land, with no large bodies of water.
