Zulema de la Cruz Castillejo (born March 9, 1958) is a talented Spanish musician. She is known as a wonderful pianist and a creative composer.

About Zulema's Life

Zulema de la Cruz was born in Madrid, Spain. She loved music from a young age. She studied piano and composition at the Madrid Conservatory. Later, she went to Stanford University in California. There, she learned about composition and computer music. Her teachers included famous composers like Carmelo Bernaola and Ramón Barce. She also studied at a special center for computer music research at Stanford.

After finishing her studies, Zulema became a professor. In 1988, she started teaching electroacoustic composition at the Madrid Conservatory. This type of music uses electronic sounds and computers. She also taught at other universities, like the Carlos III University of Madrid. Zulema helped create a special lab at the Madrid Conservatory. This lab, called LICEO, is for researching computer and electroacoustic music. She also served as its director.

Since 1993, Zulema has performed with a group called Sax Ensemble. She has also been a director for music festivals. She has served on important music committees too. Her musical pieces have been played all over the world.
