Ōmokoroa is a growing town in the Western Bay of Plenty District of New Zealand. It's considered part of the larger Tauranga area. Once a small holiday village, Ōmokoroa is now becoming a place where people live and travel to work in Tauranga City, which is about a 25-minute drive away.
In 2018, Ōmokoroa had about 3,210 people living there. It's an area where many new homes are being built. Experts think the population could reach 12,000 people by 2020–2030. Ōmokoroa is located on the harbour side of State Highway 2.
