Álvaro Tauchert Soler (born on January 9, 1991) is a talented Spanish-German singer and songwriter. He became very famous across Europe and Latin America with his big hit song "El mismo sol" in 2015. This song was especially popular in Italy, Switzerland, and Mexico.
Later, he even recorded a special version of "El mismo sol" with the famous singer Jennifer Lopez. This helped his music reach even more people around the world! In 2016, his next song, "Sofia", was also a huge success. It reached number one in many European countries, like Poland, Italy, and Switzerland. Álvaro has released three studio albums: Eterno agosto (2015), Mar de colores (2018), and Magia (2021). His song "La cintura" from his second album also became a popular hit all over Europe.

About Álvaro Soler
Álvaro Soler was born in Sant Cugat del Vallès, Spain. His father was German, and his mother was Spanish-Belgian. Because of this, he learned to speak many languages when he was very young. When he was 10 years old, he moved with his parents to Japan and lived there until he was 17. While in Japan, he started taking piano lessons, which helped him develop his musical skills.
Starting His Music Career
After returning to Barcelona, Spain, in 2010, Álvaro started a band called Urban Lights. He formed the band with his brother and some friends. They played a mix of British pop, indie pop, and electronic music. The band became popular locally and even won a university music contest. In 2013, Urban Lights appeared on a Spanish TV talent show called ¡Tú sí que vales! and made it to the final eight. They released some of their own music and albums. Besides music, Álvaro also studied industrial design at a school called Escuela de Grafismo Elisava.
Going Solo and Big Hits
In 2014, Álvaro decided to leave Urban Lights and start his solo music career. He moved to Berlin, Germany. On April 24, 2015, he released his first solo song, "El mismo sol." Álvaro helped write this song with other talented people. It quickly became a massive hit in Italy, reaching number one and selling millions of copies. It also topped the charts in Switzerland.
Because of this success, Álvaro released his first solo album, Eterno agosto, on June 23, 2015. This album was released by Universal Music.
TV Shows and Collaborations
In 2016, Álvaro Soler became a judge on the Italian TV talent show X Factor. He also performed his song at the Latin American Music Awards. Álvaro has worked with many other artists. He released different versions of his song "Libre" with singers like Paty Cantú from Mexico, Monika Lewczuk from Poland, and Emma Marrone from Italy.
He also teamed up with the band Morat for the song "Yo contigo, tú conmigo." This song was made for the movie Despicable Me 3 (which is called Gru, mi villano favorito 3 in Spanish). The music video for the song came out in June 2017.
In 2021, Álvaro Soler even lent his voice to the character Camilo Madrigal in the Disney movie Encanto for the Italian and German versions. From 2021 to 2024, he was a coach on The Voice Kids in Germany, helping young singers.
