Åsa Elisabeth Romson (born on March 22, 1972) is a Swedish politician. She was the Minister for the Environment for Sweden from 2014 to 2016. She also held the honorary title of Deputy Prime Minister of Sweden during the same time. Åsa Romson is a member of the Green Party. She was one of the party's main spokespersons, working alongside Gustav Fridolin, from 2011 to 2016.
In 2012, Åsa Romson earned a special degree called a doctorate in environmental law. She studied at Stockholm University. This means she is an expert in laws about protecting our planet.

Åsa Romson has been involved in politics for many years. She started her political work in the late 1990s.
Early Steps in Politics
- In the late 1990s, she joined the Green Party.
