A Look at Čavoglave's Past

Čavoglave played an important role during the Croatian War of Independence in 1991. Even though it was right on the front lines, the village was never taken over. Many local people bravely helped defend their home during this time.

The village became famous because of the song "Bojna Čavoglave". This song was created by Marko Perković, who was born in Čavoglave. He is a well-known Croatian musician. Marko Perković also paid for the building of the Church of Croatian Martyrs in the village. This church honors the soldiers and civilians who lost their lives during the war.

Every year, Čavoglave hosts a special concert to celebrate Victory and Homeland Thanksgiving Day. This event also helps raise money for good causes.
