Čemernica is a mountain in Central Bosnia, a region in the country of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It's about 1,338 meters (or 4,390 feet) high. This mountain is surrounded by the Vrbas River, and also by the places where two other rivers, the Ugar and Vrbanja river, join the Vrbas. Čemernica is located south of a big city called Banja Luka.

Where is Čemernica?

This mountain is found in a special area that connects three different towns: Mrkonjić Grad, Skender Vakuf, and Banja Luka. It's like a meeting point for these communities. To the northeast of the mountain, you'll find the town of Kotor Varoš. To the east, there's another town called Skender Vakuf.

Nearby Features

On the western side of Čemernica, there's a village named Bočac. This village is home to something very interesting: a large lake, which is actually a reservoir. This reservoir was created for a hydroelectric power plant called "Bočac." This plant uses the power of water to create electricity, which is a clean way to get energy! The reservoir is a big part of the local landscape.
