The 2014–15 season of the Frauen-Bundesliga was an exciting time for women's football in Germany! This was the 25th season of Germany's top women's football league. The games started on August 30, 2014, and finished on May 10, 2015.
VfL Wolfsburg were the champions from the year before. This season was special because it was the first time a company sponsored the league. Allianz bought the rights, so the league became known as the Allianz-Frauen Bundesliga. Because of this sponsorship, each team received €100,000 for the season.
Bayern Munich had a fantastic season. They won the Bundesliga title for the very first time! This was their second German championship overall.
Teams in the League
In the 2014–15 season, some new teams joined the top league. SC Sand and Herforder SV were promoted. This means they played well enough in the league below to move up.
Sadly, BV Cloppenburg and VfL Sindelfingen were moved down to the lower league. This happens when teams don't score enough points.
