800 Fifth Avenue is a very tall building, known as a skyscraper, located in Seattle, Washington, in the United States. It stands about 166 meters (545 feet) high. This impressive building was built between 1979 and 1981 and has 42 floors. It is one of the ten tallest buildings in Seattle.
The building was designed by a company called 3D/International. Since it opened, almost all of its office spaces have been rented out. This shows it is a very popular place for businesses to have their offices.
Building Names and History
This skyscraper has had a few different names over the years. It was once known as the Bank of America Fifth Avenue Plaza. This happened because Bank of America paid to have the building named after them. This is called "naming rights."
The building was first built for a bank called Seafirst Bank. However, before the tower was even finished, Bank of America bought Seafirst Bank. So, the building became known by the Bank of America name. In April 2014, the name was changed to its current simple name, 800 Fifth Avenue.
