ABC1 was a television channel made for people in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. It was owned by the Disney-ABC Television Group, which is a part of The Walt Disney Company. The channel used the same name and style as the well-known American TV network, ABC.
ABC1 showed a variety of entertainment programs. Most of these shows came from its American parent channel. However, on weekend mornings, it had a special block of shows called Playhouse Disney. This part of the channel was made just for younger children.
