AF Waltrip, also known as AF Corse-Waltrip, was a professional sports car racing team. It was a special partnership between two owners from NASCAR, Michael Waltrip and Rob Kauffman.
In 2011, Michael Waltrip Racing teamed up with AF Corse. AF Corse is a well-known racing team from Italy. This partnership helped AF Waltrip get the cool sports cars they needed to race. They competed in big international races like the FIA World Endurance Championship and the Tudor United SportsCar Championship. The team raced with Ferrari 458 Italia GT2 cars, powered by strong Ferrari 4.5 L V8 engines.
AF Corse-Waltrip stopped their sports car racing in 2013. They decided to focus all their energy back on NASCAR racing.
