Aach is a small town, also called a municipality, in Germany. It is located in the state of Rhineland-Pfalz. Aach is part of a larger group of towns called Trier-Land.

About Aach
Aach has a local council that helps run the town. This council has sixteen members, or "seats." These members are chosen by the people of Aach in elections.
How Aach is Governed
In the last elections held in 2004, two main groups were chosen. The CDU (a political party) won twelve seats. Another group, called the free voters' association (FWG Aach e. V.), won the other four seats.
The mayor of Aach is also chosen by the people. In the same 2004 elections, Mayor Josef Klein from the CDU was elected. He received almost 74% of the votes.
Geography
Aach is located about 6 kilometers (about 3.7 miles) north of the city of Trier. It is situated in the southern part of the Eifel mountains.
