Abbato was a place that appeared on maps in the early 1900s. It was situated along the Southern Pacific Railroad line. This railroad was very important for travel and moving goods across the country.

Abbato was found about 1.25 miles (which is about 2 kilometers) east-southeast of a town called Los Banos. Its elevation was 118 feet (or 36 meters) above sea level. This means it was not very high up.
When Did Abbato Appear on Maps?
The name "Abbato" was still shown on maps made by the USGS as late as 1921. The USGS is a science agency that studies the Earth. After 1921, it seems Abbato was no longer considered an active place.
