His Education and Early Work
Sangiorgio studied art at the Accademia di Brera in Milan. This was a well-known art school. Early in his career, he worked for the Fabbrica del Duomo di Milano. This was the workshop that built the famous Milan Cathedral.
Famous Sculptures
Sangiorgio created many large sculptures for public spaces. He received important jobs in several Italian cities.
- In Turin, he made a statue of Castor and Pollux. This sculpture is at the Palazzo Reale.
