Abigail Elliott (born June 16, 1987) is an American actress and comedian. She is known for her roles in TV shows like Saturday Night Live, Odd Mom Out, Indebted, and The Bear. Abby comes from a family of entertainers. Her father is actor and comedian Chris Elliott, and her sister is Bridey Elliott.

Early Life: Abby Elliott's Journey
Abby Elliott was born on June 16, 1987, in New York City. She is the older of two children. Her mom, Paula Niedert, worked as a talent coordinator. Her dad, Chris Elliott, is a famous actor and comedian. Abby's grandfather, Bob Elliott, was also a well-known radio comedian.
Abby and her younger sister, Bridey, grew up in Wilton, Connecticut. Abby went to Immaculate High School in Danbury, Connecticut. There, she loved acting in school plays and musicals. After finishing high school in 2005, she started college at Marymount Manhattan College in New York City. However, she decided to leave during her first semester to focus on her comedy career.
Career: Abby Elliott's Acting Path
Abby Elliott began her comedy training at The Groundlings. This is a famous school for improv and sketch comedy. She then started performing in different sketch comedy shows. These shows took place at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre (UCB) in Los Angeles.
In 2006, Abby appeared in TV pilots with her father, Chris Elliott. A pilot is a test episode for a new TV show. While at UCB, she often performed with a group called The Midnight Show. She also sometimes performed comedy with her sister, Bridey. Before joining Saturday Night Live, Abby also did voice roles for cartoons. These included King of the Hill and Minoriteam. She also appeared in sketches on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
Abby made her first movie appearance in No Strings Attached. After that, she had roles in films like High Road and Fun Size.
After leaving Saturday Night Live in 2012, Abby made guest appearances on many TV shows. These included 2 Broke Girls, How I Met Your Mother, and Happy Endings. From 2015 to 2017, she was a main star in the TV series Odd Mom Out. In 2020, she starred in the sitcom Indebted on NBC.
In 2022, Abby joined the cast of the TV show The Bear. In this show, she plays Natalie "Sugar" Berzatto. She is the sister of a chef who takes over their family's restaurant. The first season of The Bear was very popular and won many awards. In the second season, Abby's role became bigger. Her performance earned her a nomination for a Golden Globe Award!
Saturday Night Live: A Family Tradition
Abby Elliott joined the cast of Saturday Night Live (SNL) in November 2008. She joined during the 2008–2009 season. She was the third generation of her family to be featured on SNL. This is a very special achievement!
Abby was the second person in her family to be a full cast member. Her time on the show was longer than both her father and grandfather. Her father, Chris Elliott, was an SNL cast member in the 1994–1995 season. Her grandfather, Bob Elliott, was part of a famous comedy duo called Bob & Ray. Bob Elliott also appeared on a Christmas episode of SNL in the 1978–1979 season.
Abby was on Saturday Night Live for four seasons. She left the show before its 38th season.

Abby Elliott married television writer Bill Kennedy on September 3, 2016. They have two children. Their daughter is named Edith Pepper Kennedy. Their son is named William 'Billy' Joseph Lunney Kennedy IV.
