History
The name Aberdeen comes from a city in Scotland. A post office was opened in Aberdeen in 1910. It helped people send and receive mail for nearly 20 years, closing in 1929.
Aberdeen was officially "incorporated" from 1911 until 1995. This means it was recognized as an official town or community with its own local government and rules during that time.
