Abo is a small, unincorporated community in Torrance County, New Mexico. An unincorporated community is a place that doesn't have its own local government. Abo is located right along U.S. Route 60.
This community is special because it's very close to a famous historic site. This site is also called Abo. It has old pueblo ruins and a mission from long ago. This historic site is so important that it's a National Historic Landmark. A post office was open in Abo for a few years, from 1910 to 1914.
