Mountainair is a small town in New Mexico, United States. It's located in Torrance County. The town was started in 1902 by John Corbett, Colonel E. C. Manning, and Elias S. Stover. In 2020, about 884 people lived there. Mountainair is also part of the larger Albuquerque area. A really cool place, the main visitor center for Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument, is right in town. This monument helps you explore ancient ruins!
