Adam Comrie (July 31, 1990 – August 8, 2020) was a professional ice hockey player. He was a defenceman, which means he played a position that helps protect the team's goal. Adam was from both Canada and the United States. The Florida Panthers chose him in the 3rd round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. He was the 80th player picked overall that year.

Adam Comrie's Hockey Journey
Starting Out in Junior Hockey
When he was younger, Adam played junior hockey for Stone Bridge High School in Ashburn, Virginia. Before becoming a professional, Adam played in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). This is a major junior league for young players. He played for two teams in the OHL: the Saginaw Spirit and the Guelph Storm.
Turning Professional
On April 13, 2010, the Florida Panthers signed Adam to his first professional contract. He then started playing in the American Hockey League (AHL) with the Rochester Americans. This was during the 2010–11 hockey season.
Playing for Different Teams
- On July 10, 2013, Adam signed a contract with the San Jose Sharks. He played for their AHL team, the Worcester Sharks. He played 56 games and scored 19 points during the 2013–14 season.
- In October 2014, Adam joined the Reading Royals in the ECHL. He also played for their partner team, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms in the AHL. He scored 18 points in 40 games that season.
- Adam signed another one-year contract with the Phantoms on October 10, 2015. He continued to play for both the Royals and the Phantoms. He had 15 points in 32 games with Lehigh Valley.
- On July 26, 2016, Adam joined the Syracuse Crunch for a year. He spent most of the 2016–17 season with them. He also played a short time with the Kalamazoo Wings in the ECHL. Adam scored 19 points in 55 games, which was a career high for him. The Crunch made it to the Calder Cup Finals that year.
- Adam returned to the Reading Royals for the 2017–18 season. He also played a few games for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms again.
Playing in Europe
After playing for eight seasons in North America, Adam decided to play hockey in Europe. On July 16, 2018, he signed a one-year contract with EC KAC, an Austrian team in the EBEL league.

Death
Adam Comrie passed away on August 8, 2020, when he was 30 years old. He was killed in a motorcycle accident while visiting his mother in Virginia, U.S.
