Adams Point is a cool neighborhood in Oakland, California. It's right next to Lake Merritt, a big lake in the city. You can find it near Downtown Oakland.
This area is shaped a bit like a triangle. It's bordered by Grand Avenue, Harrison Street, and the MacArthur Freeway. Adams Point is about 79 feet (24 meters) above sea level.

Adams Point is home to several interesting places. You can visit the Veteran's Memorial Building. There's also the Earl Warren House, named after a famous judge.

Adams Point History
The name Adams Point comes from Edson Adams. He was one of the first people to own land in Oakland. There's also a short street called Adams Street.

After the big 1906 earthquake in San Francisco, many people lost their homes. They came to Oakland and set up camps in this area. A lot of these people decided to stay in Oakland. This helped the city's population grow a lot.
