Adrian Claudiu Sînă, known as Adrian Sina or Adi Sina, is a famous singer, songwriter, and music producer from Romania. He was born on April 18, 1977. He is most famous for starting and singing in the dance music group Akcent. He also writes and produces popular songs for himself and other artists around the world.
Adrian started as a DJ in the 1990s. Later, he formed a music group with Ramona Barta. They became well-known in 1999 with their song "Ultima vară" (The Last Summer). Other members, Marius Nedelcu, Sorin Brotnei, and Mihai Gruia, joined the group. Together, Akcent had many number-one songs in Romania and other parts of Eastern Europe. Their albums sold millions of copies and earned "multi-Platinum" awards, meaning they sold a lot! Their most famous song was "Kylie," released in 2005.
Solo Music and Other Projects
In the early 2010s, Adrian Sina started making music on his own. He also worked with other singers. He created his own music company, Premium Artist. He released popular solo songs like "Hold On," "I Can't Live Without You," and "Angel."
In 2011, Adrian was a judge on the TV show Romanian X Factor. He helped coach singers who were over 25 years old. He also wrote and produced many top songs for new artists. These included the boyband Maxim and singer Lidia Buble. He released more songs like "Arde ceva" (Something Burning) in 2013. Later, he released "Lacrimi curg" and "Tu m-ai dat gata." His most recent song is "Zile bune, zile rele," a collaboration with Cojo.
In 2019, Walt Disney Pictures chose Adrian Sina to be the Romanian voice of Darwin. This was for the live-action movie G-Force.
His Solo Songs
Before 2010, Adrian wrote all the songs for his band, Akcent. But he had not released any songs just by himself. In 2010, he released his first solo song, "Hold On." It became a top-thirty hit in Romania.
A year later, he recorded a new song with British singer Beverlei Brown. The music video for this song was filmed in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. Later that year, he released another song called "Angel," featuring Sandra N. The video for "Angel" was filmed in New York City. This song became a top-ten hit in Romania. It was one of the most played songs in Romania in 2012.
Akcent's Return
In early 2014, Adrian Sina brought the Akcent project back. The group released their first collection of songs, called an EP, named Around the World.
Personal Life
Adrian Sina studied at the Caragiale Academy of Theatrical Arts and Cinematography. He was preparing to become an actor. However, he decided to follow his passion for music instead. He has also shared that when he was younger, he wanted to become a park ranger.
