Where is Adventure Located?
Adventure is a village found near a river, right at the mouth of the Essequibo River. This river flows into the Atlantic Ocean.
Getting Around Adventure
In the past, Adventure was a busy place for travelers. It had a ferry terminal that connected it to Wakenaam and Parika. This made it an important stop for people traveling by boat.
The village is also connected by road to the West Coast of Demerara. You can even reach the city of Georgetown from Adventure by crossing the Demerara Harbour Bridge.
Until 2011, Adventure had places like a hotel and a bar for ferry passengers. However, the ferry terminal (often called a "stelling") moved to a new location in Supenaam.
Life in Adventure Village
Adventure is a small community with important facilities for its residents.
